Roland Spinola
Trainer and Advisor
Roland Spinola was born and raised in Cologne, Germany. He received his diploma at the Technical University in Munich and, after working as a Consultant Engineer for four years, joined IBM Germany in Munich in 1966. During his 24 years with IBM he held positions as manager in System Engineering, Sales, Education and Executive Development, both in Germany and internationally.
He worked for 6 years at IBMs International Education Centre in La Hulpe, Belgium, his last job being Manager of Executive Development for the General Business Group.
In 1988 he was promoted to Manager of Management Development Programmes, IBM Germany. His main responsibility during this assignment was to set up and manage programmes, which enabled diagnosing and changing IBM Germanys corporate culture.
In 1982 he became a licensee for the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI) and introduced the HBDI in Germany. Roland Spinola left the services of IBM Germany in 1990 and founded the Herrmann Institut Deutschland GmbH, the representative of Herrmann International USA for the German-speaking countries. Roland Spinola worked also internationally as trainer and conference speaker for companies like BMW, Otto Group, Dresdner Bank etc.
In June 2001 the Institute was sold and became Herrmann International Deutschland (HID); Roland Spinola continues to work closely with HID but also took up new challenges as manager of a network of trainers for a programme on effective communication, called "Think on Your Feet"® .
For more than 20 years he has been exploring the exciting and accelerating paradigm shifts in our times, especially the growing problems with our financial systems. He is an active member of the network of people, who look at the root causes of the many financial crises that threaten the well-being of humanity. He serves as chairman of the advisory board of the Association of Regional Currencies in Germany and is founder of the initiative, which will start issuing the regional currency "Buchone" in 2011 in the Fulda region. He holds speeches and seminars to raise the awareness of his audiences, helped by his life-long experience as trainer and speaker. He is a professional member of the prestigious German Speaker Association (GSA).
Roland Spinola lives with his wife Anke in Fulda, a town in the centre of Germany.
